A slight increase in family earnings can make it possible for children to stay in school, for the family to afford clean drinking water or a smokeless stove, and to access health care. In too many communities the only loan option is through daily lenders who can charge up to 10% per day. Your donation to TCP Global makes it possible for marginalized entrepreneurs to improve their lives. TCP Global builds zero overhead, low-interest, sustainable micro-loan programs in remote and marginalized communities, typical of those served by Peace Corps Volunteers. As of April, 2021 TCP Global has programs in 15 countries: Colombia, Peru, Guatemala, Niger, Nigeria, Uganda, Senegal, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Togo, Zambia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, Ghana and Nepal.
Your donations to TCP are matched dollar for dollar each year by loan repayments. A separate funding stream covers a 15% fee to NPCA so that 100% of donations to TCP Global are distributed as micro-loans.
